Our charter
The Dore Charter sets out our commitment to the standard of service you can expect to receive from the Dore Programme.
Your Dore
We are committed to providing you with a unique, practical programme of physical exercise that is proven to dramatically improve the ability to read and write, as well as your concentration, coordination and social skills.
Your service
The Dore Programme is challenging and involves application and dedication. The Programme does not teach you to spell or read, but it will give you the ability to learn. It is also important that you understand the Programme is not an easy, quick-fix solution to learning difficulties. In order for the Programme to be a success, you must be prepared to commit fully to completing the simple exercises for ten minutes, both in the morning and at night. We will provide the care, encouragement and professional support necessary to help you every step of the way.
Your assessments
We want to make sure you get the best possible value from the Dore Programme. You will be regularly assessed by Dore coaches who will monitor and tailor your exercises accordingly. Assessments should take place every three months and we will make every attempt to give you your first choice appointment.
Your myDore
Dore now uses the latest internet technology to help guide and motivate you between assessments. myDore is your own virtual Dore assistant. It will monitor you as you go through the Programme. myDore will also give you additional motivational challenges devised to provide encouragement and the incentive to maintain your development through the Programme.
Research and development
The Dore Programme is supported by several major scientific studies, showing it has a significant impact on learning difficulties. To date, over 30,000 individuals have participated in the Dore Programme, including well known celebrities. We are committed to continuing research into the Programme with several projects currently underway. If you wish to take part or assist in this research, please contact us directly.
Personal consideration
When you visit our centres you can expect a one-to-one consultation with one of our coaches. We will always respect your privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs. For example, women participants can request to work with a female coach. As a participant in the Dore Programme you will receive a newsletter with Programme feedback and news of all the latest Dore developments.
Appointment times
Subject to availability, we try to see all new participants within six weeks of registration.
The Centre environment
You can expect to be cared for in an environment which is clean and safe and you will be treated with respect at all times.
Your feedback
We value your feedback, because it helps us to continually update, develop and improve the Programme. If you have any suggestions, ideas or complaints, please contact your Dore advisor or email the Dore management team on info@dore.co.nz. Your communication will be acknowledged within three days and you can expect a response within two weeks.
