myDore explained

Keeping going
As part of the Programme, we’ve created myDore – an Internet based guidance and coaching system, to support you through the Programme between visits to our Centre.
It’s amazing because it lets you get on with the Dore Programme in the comfort of your own home and it generates exercises especially for you. It’s easy to use and keeps track of your progress, allows you to give us feedback and shares Dore news with you!
Getting the most out of my Dore
myExercises
Every day you’ll be given two sets of exercises to complete – one for the morning and one for the evening. Each set should take around 10 minutes to do. Click on the myExercises tab and you will be able to see a diagram and explanation of the exercise. You can click on for a printable version. But if you need more help, there are also little videos you can click on to see someone do the exercise – so you can simply copy their actions.
myDore will give you some hints and tips and there’s even a built-in stopwatch to help you time yourself.
When you’ve completed each exercise we ask you to rate how you found it. We’ll use your feedback to determine when you’re ready to move on to different or more difficult exercises.
Holiday Exercises
This section tells you what do to when you go on holiday. It doesn’t mean a break from your exercises instead myDore will create you a personal holiday exercise booklet, in case you cant get onto the internet. You only need to pack your exercise notes printed from myDore and your bean bags, any more than that and you might not be able to close your suitcase!
myMessages
This is one of the ways your Dore Coach might try and get in touch with people on the Programme. It’s also a way for them to get in touch with other people on the Dore Programme, or Champions that have already completed their journey – after all it can be good to share experiences with people who ‘get it’.
myDiary
When you’re making little improvements every day, it’s easy to lose sight of where you started and where you want to get to during your Dore Journey. myDiary is here to help you along the way. Use it to make notes about how you found the exercises, but also to record any changes you observe in your skills, attitude or behaviour.
myProgress
This part of myDore keeps track of how well you’re keeping up. There will always be the odd occasion when something crops up and you have to miss a session. But we don’t recommend you catch up on exercises if this is the case! More than two sets of exercises a day can overload your brain and slow you down too.
myReports
As you go through the Programme and make your visits to our Centre, you will receive a number of different progress reports. These are all available to view and print through myDore, so you can keep an eye on your progress and celebrate your success. There are some other tools built in to myDore to help you get the most from your programme. . why not take half an hour out to explore it for yourself?
